The (RED) Auction will feature a very special collection consisting of over 40 items. In collaboration with Bono, the renowned musician, and Sotheby's auction house, Sir Jonathan Ive and Marc Newson CBE, two design pioneers, prepared this collection. Two custom Replica Tag Heuer Watches are among the most distinctive pieces. The proceeds of the charity event, which will be led by Sotheby's New York on November 23, 2013 will be donated to the Global Fund for AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria.
These icons of design spent the past year and a quarter collecting and customizing auction items, which each, according to Sir Jonathan Ive, represent the value of thoughtfully designed objects. It is presented in a red ice-bucket cooler, and a limited edition protective cover.
